Introducing Endurance Fitness Systems
A Message From EFS Founder, Jason Paganelli
For years I struggled with diet, exercise and weight. One day I decided that I‘d had enough. No more excuses or quick fixes. I set out for a run and haven’t looked back since.
That day I came back exhausted, but in that exhaustion was a sense of accomplishment that all other forms of exercise had never offered. I was hooked, and took on the world of marathons, triathlons and even ultra-marathons within the first 12 months of those initial jogs. In the years since, I’ve become a successful recreational athlete, a USATF running coach, a personal trainer and fitness and weight loss consultant. In 2010, I am proud to have placed 3rd in the USATF-NE Ultrarunning Championships, and qualified for one of the world’s most famous and challenging ultra-marathons, The Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run. I’ll also be representing “Team EFS” at the 2011 USAT Triathlon Age Group National Championships in Burlington, VT. I am motivated by my continued progress in a sport that consistently provides new challenges for those who choose to seek them.
Throughout my transformation, I’ve discovered and formulated my own philosophies on fitness, and what it takes to live a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle. Running, triathlon and other forms of endurance activity are NOT for everyone. As a personal trainer and running coach, I can surely attest to this. However, for those that find energy in an afternoon jog, peace in an early morning bike ride, or a sense of achievement in crossing a finish line, endurance sports afford us all the opportunity to be athletes. I find so much joy in being a part of something that allows me to constantly strive, train, endure and improve.
In my years as an endurance athlete I have found another passion; coaching others in an effort to discover their own inner athletes. I founded Endurance Fitness Systems in an effort to create an active lifestyle community with resources above and beyond what would be found in a typical running or triathlon club; mainly, a strong coaching element. I’m proud of what it’s becoming, and invite you to check it out.
